Web@aGlance is an enterprise solution for connecting to various SCADA systems, Distributed Control Systems, Process Data Historians, and other industry standard and custom process systems. The data connections currently used are the OPC and @aGlance client/server technologies. Support of multiple process systems and databases will enable you to realize efficiencies and economies by having one, "vendor neutral" application to serve your multiple data source needs. @aGlance and OPC SDK’s are provided to develop servers for systems which currently do not support these standard methods of data connectivity.

Central Software Management and Installation

Web@aGlance’s Java architecture provides truly thin client capability from your web based process information system. No software is installed on the client system, which results in lower system management costs.

Flexible Desktop System Requirements

Java-enabled browsers from Microsoft, Netscape, and other suppliers can be used to view the data, enabling browsers from different suppliers, on different platforms, to be used to view your data. As Web@aGlance does not install any software components on the client system, use of Web@aGlance can be supported by groups outside the plant, who may have strict desktop requirements for installing new software.

Ease of Development

Web@aGlance’s easy-to-use design tools enable the rapid development of pages with charts, trends, process graphics and reports, with our WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Animation Editor and wizard’s based Charting Tool. Connections to data servers, as well as tags and attributes within a process system, are rapidly achieved by browsing through a list of those systems, tags, and attributes, and assigning them to a graphic element, trend or numeric value. Extensive integration resources are not required to develop, support and maintain your process information web site.
